The Ellijay Lions Club, the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce, the cities of Ellijay and East Ellijay, and Gilmer County invite everyone to come and enjoy the 43rd year of the Georgia Apple Festival. There are over 300 vendors with handmade, hand-crafted items, as well as many on-site demonstrations of how selected types of crafts are made. The antique car show is held at the Civic Center. The parade is in historic downtown Ellijay.

Stop by the Ellijay Marketplace any weekend in October for fun, Music, Arts, Crafts and shopping. If you are in town for the Apple Festival, Ellijay Marketplace will be offering a “Park and Ride” option to the festival. You can choose either a shuttle or horse drawn wagon!

Don't miss the 84th annual North Georgia State Fair in Marietta, GA!!! The Georgia Lottery Concert Series is FREE with admission and features Lauren Alaina, Lee Brice, Loretta Lynn, and Jerrod Neimann! Along with the concerts the North Georgia State fair offers many other attractions such as the Fair Beauty Pageant, a Flower Show, and a Blue Ribbon Classic Car Show.

Dahlonega’s Gold Rush Days Festival has been voted one of the top 20 events in the southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society. Featuring over 300 arts and crafts exhibitors this two day event includes a parade, children’s activities, a fashion show, a gold panning contest and much more.

The "Apple Pickin' Jubilee" held at Hillcrest Orchards near Ellijay, Ga. is a fun filled on the farm festival featuring U-Pick apples, cow milking, pig races, mule and tractor draw wagon rides, playgrounds with giant slides, pedal cart and trike rides, and a Farmhouse and Moonshine Museum. Visitors love the most unique petting farm in North Ga. where children can hug ad feed lots of baby farm animals including goats, lambs, a calf, kittens and even just hatched baby chicks. You can jump for joy on the giant jumping pillow.
